The All Progressives Congress (APC) has vowed to capture Anambra State in the 2025 governorship election, employing the same strategy it used in winning Edo State.
The governorship election in Anambra State will take place in November 2025 and many political parties are already mobilizing for the exercise.
The incumbent governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) will be seeking for a second term during the election.
At the APC headquarters in Abuja, the national chairman of the party, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje urged party members to replicate their Edo State success in Anambra, vowing that it is a project that must be executed.
Ganduje spoke during the winding down of the situation room for the Edo election at the party's National Working Committee, NWC, hall.
"We must work together to ensure victory in Anambra. Our party's presence in the South East is crucial for national unity and progress," Ganduje said.
Reacting on Ganduje's optimism, APC in Anambra said the party is already putting structures in place for the governorship election.
"We are ready to work tirelessly to deliver Anambra to APC. The APC's push for Anambra State could have significant implications for the region's politics and national balance.
A victory would bolster the party's presence in the South East, potentially altering the regional political landscape," the state chairman of the party, Chief Basil Ejidike.
