70 year-old Pastor killed by masquerade buried in Anambra

The remains of the late 70 year- old Pastor Shedrack Okoye of the Lord's Chosen Church, Amaokwe chapter in Enugwu quarters, Umuawulu, Awka South local government area of Anambra State allegedly killed by masquerade, have been laid to rest amidst tears

Okoye was said to have met his untimely death on December 25, 2023, when he was attacked by the masquerade for not offering money to it.

Pastor Vincent Eyisi from Mbaukwu branch of the church said though one should be concerned about the way Okoye died, what matters most is whether one was reconciled with God in his lifetime.

Charging Christians to accept Christ as their personal Lord and savior for them to be reconciled with God, Pastor Eyisi said that one must be born again if such a person wants to inherit the kingdom of God.

He observed that it was Okoye that brought Lord’s Chosen church to Umuawulu and remained a committed member until death.

The children of the late Pastor Okoye maintained that though their father had been buried, they will make sure that whoever ended their father’s life untimely, must face the wrath of the law no matter how long it takes.

The first son of the deceased, Mr. Chukwudubem Okoye and his first daughter Mrs. Ebelechukwu Anigbogu, explained that their father was a loving man who never missed to pray for them and one who cared for all his children, and wondered why his life should be terminated in such a manner.

The burial ceremony was attended by members of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Movement across the state.
