The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has inaugurated what it called 'Solution Kindred Initiative', SKI, member team, aimed at permeating the grassroots for catching votes ahead of the 2025 governorship election in the state.
National chairman of APGA, Sly Ezeokenwa said SKI will also be inaugurated in the other South East states as part of the preparation for the next general elections, adding that the idea is to win more states for the party.
The exercise, which took place at Ogidi in Idemili North local government area, attracted members and supporters of the party across the state.
He said: "APGA is a household name and we hope to get two more states in the Southeast zone, come the next general elections. With the inauguration of the SKI teams, they will penetrate the communities because every community has various kindreds.
"We also want to have APGA as a cooperative society and you must belong to APGA to be keyed into the cooperative society we are talking about, which is aimed at capturing Anambra State for Soludo next year, and having two more states from Southeast".
In his speech, the state chairman of APGA, Barr. Ifeatu Obi-Okoye said that
by the voting coordination, APGA will penetrate into the umunna so that the party will get more votes.
According to him, in Igbo land, "one hardly eats what belongs to umunna because they are your people and know everything about you. So umunna has a major role to play during the 2025 governorship election in Anambra State".
The traditional ruler of Ogidi, Igwe (Pharmacist )Alex Onyido, in his speech, commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his efforts in making the state a better place to live in.
He described the SKI as a welcome development aimed at involving kindreds in political awareness as days were gone when politics was not meant for the grassroot.
