The Chief Judge of Anambra State,Justice Onochie Anyachebelu has met some members of the state branch of the striking workers of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN)
Surprisingly, the union's chairman and secretary were not at the meeting.
The indefinite strike , which began on Monday, has crippled activities in all the Courts in the state,.
JUSUN officials had argued that the strike became necessary because the state government had ignored the 21- day ultimatum given by the Union, which expired on Thursday, last week.
A government official has however said that the state government is looking into the grievances of the judiciary workers, with a view to resolving the grey areas.
Among the grievances of the judiciary workers was the failure of the state government to comply with the agreements reached with the union in 2011 and 2015.
The agreements centered on full implementation of the Consolidated Judiciary Salary Structure (CONJUSS), which is a peculiar allowance for judiciary workers.
