The chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance ( APGA) for Orumba South Local Government Area, Hon.Shedrack Azubuike has been declared winner in the Anambra State local government election held on Saturday, 28th September, 2024.
The Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission's Returning Officer for chairmanship election in Orumba South, Mr.Chinedu Okpala who announced the result at the Council Secretariat Umunze, declared that Hon.Shedrack Azubuike of APGA polled 20119 to beat other candidates.
Speaking after being returned winner, Azubuike who dedicated the victory to God and APGA faithful in Orumba South, expressed joy that Orumba South people were able to prove that they are predominantly APGA during the election.
He thanked the Orumba South stakeholders, traditional rulers, Presidents-General, as well as the entire people of the area for giving him the opportunity to serve them through their votes.
He assured that he would not disappoint them in any way, even as he promised to run an open door administration with the aim to improve the living standard of the people of Orumba South.
He also pledged his unalloyed loyalty and support to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, who he said, has recorded meaningful developments in Orumba South.
