The former Director-General of Bureau of Public Procurement in the Presidency, Engr. Emeka Ezeh has been sworn in as the pioneer chairman of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Civil Service Commission(CSC).
Ezeh, a renowned Engineer, hails from Alor in Idemili South local government area of Anambra State.
He was sworn-in alongside the FCT Head of Service, Permanent Secretaries, and Commissioners of the FCT Civil Service by Justice Sylvanus Oriji, who represented the Chief Judge of the FCT, Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf.
In his speech, the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike appreciated President Tinubu for approving the establishment of the FCT Civil Service Commission (CSC) in October 2023 and the subsequent appointment of the officials.
He urged them to be up and doing, and work for the realization of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President.
Wike said: “Today is a memorable day as far as the FCT is concerned. First of all, we want to thank His Excellency, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, who has shown leadership by making sure the 2018 Act is being implemented. That again reassures us of the Renewed Hope Agenda".
Emeka Muoma Ezeh was born in Alor ,Anambra State on the 16th day of February,1958. He attended his primary and secondary schools in Alor. In 1983,he graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, winning Dr C. C Agbim prize for the best graduating student in Foundation Engineering, Structural Analysis and Structural Design.
In 1990,he obtained a Master’s degree (M.Sc) in Civil Engineering from University of Lagos.
Emeka Ezeh was appointed the Acting Director General, Bureau of Public Procurement in 2007. He was confirmed as the pioneer DG of the Bureau in 2009 by the late President Musa Yar’Adua
