The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has begun digital registration for its members across the country.
Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, who is the leader of the party, flagged off the exercise at Isuofia, the home town of Governor Soludo.
During the flag off, Soludo; his wife, Dr Nonye and their daughter, Adaora, were captured in the digital membership registration portal.
The National Chairman of the party, Barr Sly Ezeokenwa had explained during a press conference to mark his first year in office that APGA has become the first political party In Nigeria to implement the complete digitization of its membership database.
According to him, the launching of the state-of the-art mobile app for digital registration and introduction of digital membership cards has an array of features.
"This pioneering initiative has revolutionized the way we engage with our members, making registration seamless, enhancing communication, and providing real-time updates.
Our digital membership cards offer numerous benefits, including a unique member ID, access to exclusive content, event notifications, and more.
In the coming days, the registration will go on simultaneously across various designated centres in all the political wards in the country," Ezeokenwa had said.
National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Ejimofor Opara said the process marks the beginning of the digital membership revalidation, and registration process for new members.
"This process is fully digital and will be the first of its kind in the history of political party membership in the entire country, " he added.
