The candidate of Labor Party (LP), in the last March 18 governorship election in Enugu State, Hon Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga, has rejected the judgement of the Election Tribunal delivered in Enugu on Thursday.
Already, he has instructed his legal team in line with his constitutional rights, to appeal the judgement.
Meanwhile, the judgment has been described by legal experts as bizarre, hollow and lacking in legal precedent.
In a statement by Edeoga's Spokesperson, Engr George Ugwu, Hon. Edeoga expressed gratitude to Ndị Enugu and other supporters for the confidence reposed on him.
"We thank our numerous supporters and the good people of Enugu State who voted overwhelmingly for LP in the last elections for their continued support."
"While assuring them that the mandate will be retrieved through already provided constitutional means, we urge them to remain calm and resolute in their support."
"Justice will be pursued and justice will be done," he added.
