Election petition: Senator Ifeanyi Ubah floors APGA, PDP, LP at Appeal Court

The Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos has affirmed the election of Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah representing Anambra South senatorial zone.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared Ubah as the winner of the February 25, 2023 poll for the Senatorial District.

Delivering judgement on the appeals filed by the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Chris Azubogu, that of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chris Uba and that of the Labour Party (LP), Obinna Uzor, the appellate court upheld the ruling of the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal, Awka and dismissed the appeals for lack of merit.

With the Appeal Court ruling, the legal tussle on the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial election has been brought to an end.
