Former Senate Spokesman, Sen. Ayogu Eze, is dead.
Eze who represented Enugu North Senatorial District at Red Chambers between 2007 to 2015, died in an Abuja Hospital after a protracted illness.
Senator Eze who was born in 1958 was also a Federal Commissioner for the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
He was a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State.
During his time in the Senate, he was appointed chairman of the senate committee on Information and Media.
He was also a member of the Constitution Drafting and Amendment Committee that made some novel changes to Nigeria’s 1999 constitution in the eight years he spent in the senate,
Eze on re-election to the Senate in 2011, was appointed chairman of the Committee on Works just as he served as a member of committees on Police Affairs, National Planning, Marine Transport and Federal Character & Inter-Government Affairs.
