The Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra, popularly known as OCHA Brigade, has sealed off the popular Tomato Market, Obosi, in Idemili North Local Government Area of the state for allegedly questioning the authority of the government outfit.

Managing Director of OCHA Brigade, Comrade Celestine Anere frowned at a situation whereby the traders were given notice of relocation and evacuation more than a month ago following constant traffic congestion along the area and robberies, but chose to fight members of the brigade.

He wondered why the traders employed hoodlums with cutlasses to fight the decision of the state government and insisted that no matter the propaganda, the directive of the state government would be carried out to the latter as no amount of antics can subdue them from delivering mandate.

According to him, the attack on his men resulted to different degrees of injuries, but was happy that no life was lost.

He told the traders that the state government had relocated the market to a new site at Power Mike, Atani in Ogbaru Local Government Area, which he added, is more spacious and conducive for their business.

Anere informed the leadership of the traders that the area they were occupying had lost its aesthetics, urging them to be law abiding citizens and comply with the directive of the state government by keeping their environment clean.
