Foundation empowers 200 Oko Poly students with digital skills

The Seniom Foundation, a Nongovernmental Organization, NGO, has empowered no fewer than 200 students of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State with digital skills to update them with current trends in the internet world


Activ8 Hub, a digital company, provided the training for the students at the Ufuma campus of the Polytechnic, in partnership with the Students Union Government (SUG) of the institution.


Seniom Foundation, an organization dedicated to charity, education and youth empowerment, was established in memory of Sir Ernest Okolo and it is focused on skills development and capacity building for the youths.


The two- day training introduced the students to various aspects of the digital world, including basic digital literacy, content creation, internet safety, and the use of digital tools for learning and development.


The programme featured interactive sessions, hands-on training, and engaging activities that allowed participants to gain practical experience.


Chief Dozie Donat Okolo, founder and CEO of Seniom Foundation, was excited about the success of the programme


"Empowering our youth with digital skills is not just an investment in their future, but in the future of our nation. We are committed to supporting initiatives that foster growth, innovation, and positive change.

Founder of Activ8 Hub, Chuwkuma Mezie-Okoye said the NextGen Digital Skills Programne was designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the digital age.


Through a diverse range of programs and initiatives, Activ8 Hub seeks to empower countless individuals to harness the power of technology for personal and professional growth.

He said that the programme marks a significant step towards bridging the digital divide and preparing young individuals for the demands of the modern workforce in Anambra State and the South East region.
