Four persons were injured when a truck carrying a 40-foot container rammed into a motor park in Onitsha, Anambra State.
Eyewitnesses said the truck driver was heading towards the old Niger Bridge when the vehicle had brake failure, making it difficult for the driver to control it
According to the eyewitnesses, the vehicle veered off the road and crashed into the ever busy motor park, hitting over 10 vehicles that included a Toyota Sienna, commercial buses, and tricycles in the process.
One of the eyewitnesses said: “We were fortunate that the accident did not claim any life. It would have been a serious calamity here because there were many people at the park waiting to board vehicles.
“They fled as they saw the trailer dragging the other vehicles, but four persons who were waiting to board a vehicle were injured and were rushed to the hospital."
Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, were still to remove the crashed vehicles as at Saturday night
