The Federal Government on Monday said that the controversial Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, is not above the law.
Debunking beliefs in several quarters that Gumi is a "sacred cow", the FG disclosed that the Islamic cleric has already been invited for questioning.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, disclosed this while responding to questions from State House Correspondents after the Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa.
Idris stressed that following statements made by Gumi in relation to the abduction of over 280 pupils and teachers in Kaduna State, the government deemed it necessary to invite him for questioning.
