Ike Ekweremadu's colleagues, associates, grace son, Lloyd's wedding with Tiffany

Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the February general election, Peter Obi and three former Presidents of the Senate, Anyịm Pius Anyim, David Mark and Bukola Saraki,

on Saturday led other colleagues and associates of the former Deputy President of Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, to grace his son's (Lloyd) wedding with wife, Tiffany.

 
 

Lloyd Ekweremadu was recently appointed Commissioner for Youth and Sports by Enugu State Governor, Dr Peter Mbah.


Also among those in attendance to the wedding officiated by the Primate of All Nigeria and Metropolitan, Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, at the Basilica of Grace Anglican Church, Gudu District, Abuja, are top chieftains of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) including, PDP governorship candidate in Kogi State, Senator Dino Melaye.


Others who also stood in for the former Deputy President of Senate, Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice, with them are top chieftains of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) including Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu; Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, and Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi.


Senator Ekweremadu, who represented Enugu West Senatorial District in the Senate for about two decades, is currently being held in a UK prison alongside his wife Beatrice after they were found guilty of organ trafficking and consequently sentenced to different jail terms in May, 2023.


The UK Court sentenced the former Deputy President of Senate nine years and eight months in prison; his wife Beatrice, four years and six months, while a doctor who allegedly colluded with them, Obinna Obeta, was sentenced to 10 years.
