Anambra State governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has said that experts would subject all the confiscated native doctors' boxes to forensic analysis, stressing that the owners would have themselves to blame if traces of human blood were found in them.
The governor, who spoke in Awka, described as unfortunate a situation whereby thousands of youths are languishing in jail all over the world because of the activities of the fake native doctors.
About 30 suspected native doctors and pastors are currently being investigated in the state as part of the state government's efforts to return the state to normalcy.
Since the government clampdown on the native doctors, many of them have run away from the state and those they prepared the boxes for, are now afraid that the concoctions prepared for them might soon become impotent because of the detention of those who prepared them.
According to the governor, "many Okeite are now in our custody and the only thing that can save the owners is if there are no traces of human blood in those boxes.
They made Okite for these youths with the promise that they will pass security checkpoints with hard drugs and the machines won’t detect them and when they pass, the machines will catch them and they are now in jail all over the world.
And when they can’t get that, they go into yahoo yahoo. And because that one had failed, they went into the bush and became kidnappers to make easy money because they were promised that they don’t need to sweat."
The governor vowed not to relent in his efforts to sanitize the state, adding that life is beginning to return to normal in parts of the state hitherto controlled by non state actors.
The governor added that a native doctor from one of the northern states who claimed to be fortifying security operatives has been arrested, adding that he would be made to identify those he had worked for.
