One person was feared dead and many trapped when a building collapsed in Ochanja area of the commercial city of Onitsha on Monday night.
Details of the level of casualties were still unclear, but the Anambra State Fire Service Chief, Martin Agbili said rescue operation is ongoing.
Agbili's short statement said: “ There was building collapse around Ochanja Market, Onitsha and it happened at about 8.00pm on Monday, 26-02-2024.
“There are some trapped individuals at the scene of the collapsed building. Rescue operation is currently ongoing.”
