Nigerian business mogul and social media influencer, Obi Cubana has unveiled a Tricycle Assembly Automobile Company popularly known as “keke” in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
Cubana, who hails from Anambra State, expressed optimism that apart from creating more jobs for the younger generation, the plant would help Nigeria become more self-reliant and attract more investments opportunities.
On why he didn’t set up the plant in the Eastern part of the country where he came from, he argued that business decisions are not driven by emotions, but by strategy and what works.
“If setting up the plant in Ikorodu, Lagos will make it thrive and create jobs, then why not? Maybe with time, the business can expand to other locations, based on proven success and consolidation.
Don’t let ethnicity or the fear of what people will say dictate your business decisions. Make informed, strategic choices with the big picture in mind. Remember, when your business fails, opinions won’t save it,” he said.
He also hinted of his plan to go into Solar Energy business which, according to him, is almost ready.
At the ceremony, the dignitaries that included top government officials and business leaders, commended Obi Cubana for the initiative.
