Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has urged the South East Development Commission (SEDC) to prioritize its objectives to achieve the desired results.
The governor spoke when he received a delegation from the SEDC, led by Chief Emeka Wogu, the Chairman, and Mr. Mark Okoye, the Managing Director in Awka.
During the meeting, Governor Soludo advised the SEDC team to focus on achieving tangible results and ensuring that the commission remains committed to its core development goals.
He urged the delegation to avoid bureaucratic and politicized approaches, which could hinder progress and effectiveness.
"By prioritizing one key objective, the commission can channel its resources and energy towards achieving a specific goal, rather than spreading itself too thin across multiple objectives", Soludo said.
In his speech, Wogu praised Governor Soludo's outstanding achievements, acknowledging his significant contributions to the state's development.
He specifically commended the governor's efforts in improving security, infrastructure development, and economic growth.
According to him, the collaborative efforts between the Anambra State government and the SEDC demonstrate their shared commitment to driving growth and development in the South East region.
"By working together and prioritizing key objectives, we can achieve tangible results and improve the lives of citizens in the region," the chairman said.
