The Senator representing Anambra North, Dr Tony Nwoye had commissioned the multipurpose youths and women center he built for his constituents in the Fegge area in Onitsha South local government area of Anambra State.
Facilities at the centre include 500 capacity air-conditioned hall for training and conferences, 100 bed hostel accommodation with well -equipped beds and beddings, 500kVA standby generator for power supply, solar powered borehole, solar lights with CCTV, among others.
At the commissioning ceremony, Nwoye expressed gratitude to the people for voting massively for the Labour Party and PeterObi in the 2023 general elections.
"It is my sincere desire that our youths and women in Fegge and its environs should tailor their God given talents in the creation of ideas that will foster economic development.
The essence of this centre is to provide a conducive environment for all good activities, while also catering for educational needs and vocational development of our teeming youth population of Fegge and environs.
With facilities like this one, I hope it will help to keep our young people off the streets and reduce social vices, such as drug abuse, hooliganism etc. I am appealing to the youths to utilize centre very well," the Senator said.
