Senator Ifeanyi Ubah representing Anambra South senatorial district in the National Assembly is dead.
The politician and businessman was said to have died in a hotel in the United Kingdom following heart attack. He was said to have departed Nigeria for the UK, two days ago to attend the daughter's graduation ceremony.
Another source, however, said he died in a UK hospital where he went for an operation.
Condolences have already started pouring in from far and near. The Senate, where is was the chairman of the committee on petroleum downstream, has also confirmed the death of the businessman/ politician.
Recall that Ubah defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, from the Young Progressives Party, YPP, last year and is planning to contest next year's governorship on the platform of the party.
Few days ago, Senator Ubah and his campaign council donated a total of N71 million to the All Progressives Congress in Anambra State to strength the party in the state.
The donation, which includes N50 million from Senator Ubah himself, is part of his pledge to support the party and enhance its effectiveness in the state.
Recall also, that Senator Ubah survived an assassination attempt in September 2022 at Enugwu Ukwu, Anambra State, during which three police escorts in his convoy lost their lives.
