By Madu Obi

The speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Somtochukwu Udeze has described the death of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah as a big loss to the legislative institution in Nigeria.

In his condolence message, Hon Udeze said Senator Ubah's death has created a great vacuum in the political space in the country.

He also described the late Anambra South senator as a consummate and selfless politician, business mogul, sports developer and promoter, as well as a philanthropist and a devout christian.

Extolling his contributions to the development of his community, Nnewi and beyond, Udeze noted that the late lawmaker was a vocal voice in the Senate and eulogized him for using legislative instruments to uplift the living conditions of his constituents through various employment and empowerment opportunities.

Udeze said he was deeply pained by the death of the distinguished parliamentarian, stressing that his death was a true definition of "untimely death".

While consoling the immediate family, the people of Nnewi and Anambra South Senatorial zone and indeed Nigeria on the irreparable loss, he prayed God to grant the soul of the distinguished Senator eternal rest.
