Shuttle bus driver kills police officer in Anambra

A shuttle bus driver has knocked down a police officer in Anambra State, killing him instantly.

The officer, ASP Anthony Ogbodo, was said to be riding on his motorcycle at Enugwu Ukwu in Njikoka local government area when the shuttle bus hit him.

Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr Tochukwu Ikenga said the driver of the shuttle bus conveyed the police office to the hospital at Enugwu Ukwu where he was confirmed dead.

According to Ikenga, the driver has been arrested and taken into custody, while the accident is being investigated.

He said that the Commissioner of Police, Aderemi Adeoye has assured that justice will be speedily dispensed in the case.
