Soludo at Innoson motors plant, highlights its economic benefits

Anambra State governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has described the Nnewi- based Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company as a strategic investment that is boosting the local economy and promoting job creation.


Soludo spoke during a visit to the company with a team of government officials, as well as representatives of the business community, and community leaders as part of his efforts to encourage local entrepreneurship.


The governor commended the company for its contributions to the local economy and reiterated his commitment to continue to support businesses in the state.


He said, "This company has been an important part of our state's economy for many years and has created many jobs for the local people."


"I am committed to ensuring that we continue to provide a business-friendly environment that encourages companies like this to grow and thrive."


While touring the company's new expansion site which sits on three hectares of land, the governor described the new site as a bold statement that signifies that Africa is rising.


He added that if the company could go into heavy machinery business, it would enhance Africa's quick industrialization and commended the chairman of the company, Chief Innocent Chukwuma for believing in Nigeria and Anambra State.


According to him, even while some people were hiding under insecurity to undermine their enterprises, Innoson was busy expanding.


The governor also spoke about the ongoing road projects in Nnewi and efforts by the government to meet the yearnings of the people, calling on the youths who are still in the bushes, to come out and join forces with his government and other well- meaning people to build a new Anambra State.


In his speech, Chukwuma explained that the new expansion site would be dedicated to manufacturing CNG/LNG - powered vehicles.


"The expansion signifies not just a boost in production, but also a surge in employment opportunities, as well as underlining our commitment to local content development and economic growth", he said.
