The Anambra State government has expressed concern over the alleged dispensing of suspected adulterated fuel by some filling stations in the state.
Following the development, the state Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Anthony Ifeanya said his ministry has concluded arrangement to embark on an aggressive monitoring of petrol filling stations across the state.
He also observed that some filling station operators had tampered with their meters, thereby shortchanging their customers.
According to him, the state government would soon embark on the monitoring of the defaulting stations with a view to apprehending the offenders.
He warned perpetrators of such act to desist forthwith or face the full weight of the law.
