The Rescue Nigeria Global Network has expressed the need for Nigeria and Ndigbo to look into the causes of the sit-at-home that leads to the destruction of life, property, and businesses and deal with it before the situation is allowed to deteriorate and produce another hero in the form of Simon Ekpa.
In an interview granted by the coordinator of the group, Michael Chukwujekwu, Ph.D., the group faulted the lackluster action of the government as a subtle sabotage of business, education, industry, economy, and development of the South East and Nigeria.
The group recalled that the popularity of the leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, grew from the poor handling of the issues surrounding the quest for separation, including the invasion and killings at the home of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
The group is of the view that the subsequent rendition, trial, and grant of freedom by the court, which the government failed to give effect, appear to be the bane of the sit-at-home and the consequent disruption of lives and property in observance of the said sit-at-home.
The interview was granted after a brainstorming session of the RNGN in London, attended by the members of the group.
In attendance was Dr Michael Chukwujekwu Ph. D the Global Coordinator from the UK, Chief Pat Okpala the Deputy Global Coordinator from America, Dr Prince Nnewima-Nwaforizu Head of Finance from the UK, Dr Cheryl Gantry Deputy Head of Planing and strategy from the UK, Prof. John Obas Ebohon Head of Research from the UK.
Others are Dr Emma Nnopu the Coordinator from Australia, Mrs Asa Blessing from the UK Global Head of Press Barr. Ayoola the South west Coordinator from Oyo, Mrs Blessings Obi-Allison Head of Multimedia from the UK, Mrs Sarah Emeka the Global Treasurer from the UK.
Still in attendance are Sir Chidi Okenmadu Head of Project Management from the UK, Mrs Charity Adeboye member of tte Managements from the UK, Dr Innocent Ukabam member of the management from America, Dr Chinelo Onwusi the National coordinator from Port Harcourt Nigeria, Nze Ikay Umenne from Russia the Coordinator of East Europe, Dr Kizito Nwajeri the Coordinator from South-East, Mohammed Liman the Coordinator from Sokoto, amongst many others in the meeting.
The group expressed confidence that the development of South-East and indeed Nigeria will assume a proper place when the current issues plaguing Nigeria like sit-at-home, banditry and terrorism and rumours of war with Niger Republic are kept at bay and confidence restored in the rule of law and judicial process.
Nigeria including the South-East will develop quicker when rule of law, and production become priority over of consumption and egocentrism.
