The Rescue Nigeria Global Network has expressed shock at the ruling of the Presidential Election Tribunal.

In a release from London, signed by the Global Coordinator of the group, Dr. Michael Chukwujekwu, and backed by coordinators of the group, the group felt that the umpire in the tribunal did not live up to expectations, as technicalities appeared to stand in the way of substantial justice in the matter.

The group observed that the tribunal was meant to be unbiased umpires, but their body language, mannerisms, expressions, and choice of words left nothing to wonder.

The painstaking and laborious decision appeared not to have fully considered the statutory nature of the provisions for IREV/BIVAS and the guidelines pursuant thereto as provisions intended to deal with the issues that border on the integrity of the process and the outcome of elections in the country.

The group expressed the hope that the shortcomings observed in the adjudicatory process will be addressed at the appellate level.

The membership of the group cuts across the continents of the world including Europe, North America, South America, Australia, Asia and Africa.
