Tinubu appoints 2 South Easterners, 6 others federal Permanent Secretaries

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of eight federal Permanent Secretaries, among them two people from the South East geopolitical zone.


The two people from the South East are Obi Vitalis from Anambra State and Akujobi Ijeoma taking the quota of the South East.


The other appointees are Dr. Emanso Okop (Akwa-Ibom), Mahmood Tabi’a (Bauchi) and Danjuma Sanusi (Jigawa).

Olusanya Olubunmi (Ondo), Dr. Keshinro Ismaila (Zamfara) and Isokpunwu Osaruwanmwen (South-South).


The special adviser to the president on Media and Publicity, Aburi Ngelale said the president made the appointment to fill existing and impending vacancies in some states and geo-political zones in the top administrative cadre of the federal civil service.


According to the presidential spokesman, the new federal Permanent Secretaries were appointed after a diligent selection process by the office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.


He said the president expects the new Permanent Secretaries to “exercise absolute dedication, diligence and fidelity to the nation in the discharge of their functions and ensure optimum service delivery to Nigerians.”
