VP, APC national chairman bag chieftaincy titles in Anambra

Vice President Kashim Shetima and the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje have been conferred with chieftaincy titles by the traditional ruler of Ukpo Community in Anambra State, Igwe Robert Eze.


While Shetima was conferred with the title of Enyi Ndigbo (Friend of Igbo People), Ganduje was conferred with the title of Agu na-eche Mba 1 of Ndigbo (Lion that protects Igbo people),


The ceremony, which took place during the 32nd Ofala festival of Ukpo, was organized and sponsored by the oil magnet, Prince Arthur Eze, whose brother is the traditional ruler.


The Royal Father described Ganduje as one of the leading politicians in Nigeria, recalling how he protected the Igbo people while he was governor of Kano State.


Imo State governor, Hope Uzodinma, Deputy Speaker House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu and Inspector General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, were present at the event.


The APC National Chairman was accompanied by the Vice Chairman of the party for the South East, Dr Ijeomah Arodiogbu, Deputy Publicity Secretary, Hon. Duro Meseko and his Chief of Staff, Muhamamdu Garba.
