With Ifeanyi Ubah as flag bearer, APC winning Anambra is sure bet - Kamen

By Madu Obi

A media consultant, Mr. Chuks Kamen has spoken with optimism that if Senator Ifeanyi Ubah representing Anambra South senatorial district emerges the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for next year's Anambra governorship election, APC is sure to take over Anambra State.

Basking in the euphoria of the success of last weekend's Nnewi colloquium and empowerment rally hosted by Senator Ubah, Kamen, who is a top aide to the senator, said his candidature would guarantee the success of APC at the forthcoming Anambra guber polls.

The colloquium and empowerment attracted almost the entire leadership of APC led by its national chairman, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, as well as the governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma.

Kamen said: "What started as disbelief on the possibility of the APC to govern Anambra State is turning out to be a sure bet as the distinguished Senator used both occasions to showcase his various powerful and loyal political structures to the world."

Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has since grown even stronger politically after winning second term with a relatively unknown party, the YPP, as he has gone on to become a key member of the leadership of the tenth national assembly and chairman of a strategic committee in the senate. He is a formidable force that you can only downplay at your own peril.

"The power of incumbency will not work under these circumstances as events in the past few months in Anambra State have shown huge similarities with the events of 2014 to 2015 when an incumbent president lost elections for a second term in office."

"The great news this time is that the greatly disenchanted and disillusioned people of Anambra State under Gov Soludo's administration now have a more credible alternative in Senator Patrick Ifeanyichukwu Ubah, whose track record is widely known in the country.

"APGA has not advanced after 18 years of being in the leadership saddle of Anambra State and has therefore left the people with no other choice than to embrace a return to the centre of national discourse in search of real and deserving developmental strides."

"The huge overflow witnessed at the Ifeanyi Ubah 50,000 seater capacity stadium during the APC rally was a clear testament to the fact that Ndi Anambra are fed up with the audio Dubai-Taiwan promises of the PDP/APGA.

The Professor of Economics has since continued to encumber them with heavy and multiple tax burden while promises of local government elections and world standard infrastructural development, have remained pipe dreams, to say the least."

"Ndi Anambra have resolved to rise above the perennial use of propaganda as a tool of deceit by APGA, which has hitherto kept our beloved Anambra State on the sidelines of the national politics and under development ,a sharp contrast with the huge human and natural resource potential that abounds in the state".

According to him, with President Bola Tinubu's administration showing total commitment to changing the narrative of the Southeast in Nigeria’s political sphere for the better, Anambra State will become an APC state in 2025.
