The Speaker of the Amambra State House of Assembly, Somtochukwu Udeze had described women as veritable instruments of God's work, urging them to keep it up.
Udeze, who felicitated with the Anglican Church on the celebration of the mothering Sunday, enjoined them to emulate the Biblical virtuous women, like Esther, Mary and Martha, as well as Dorcas and Ruth, among others.
He assured the women that their genuine service to God and humanity will be rewarded accordingly.
Udeze expressed satisfaction that women have contributed immensely towards the development of their various churches through meaningful programmes and activities.
He also changed them to shun acts capable of smearing their reputation as Christian mothers, but to uphold those virtues that glorify God.
He called on fathers to continue to provide adequate security, love and care for their wives and join hands with them in building peaceful and progressive homes.
