By Madu Obi

The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Somtochukwu Udeze has described 43 years of service in God's vineyard of the Catholic Archbishop of Onitsha, Most Reverend Valerian Okeke, as divinely inspired.

He described the Metropolitan of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province as an outstanding Prelate whose spiritual standing and drive have greatly aided the growth and development of the Catholic Church.

Udeze observed that the Catholic Prelate has distinguished himself among his contemporaries through promotion of practical evangelism and sound church administration.

He also lauded Archbishop Okeke's steadfastness in his service to God and expressed gratitude that Onitsha Archdiocese is growing from strength to strength to the glory of God.

He enjoined other priests to emulate Archbishop Okeke's humility, selflessness, dedication to duty and true service to God by upholding the sanctity of priesthood and also by living up to their call.

While wishing Archbishop Okeke more eventful years of service in God's Vineyard, the speaker prayed God to equip him accordingly to enable him continue to discharge his divine mandate of service to God and humanity.
